i won't bore you with my crappy life but, i have this simple little fuzz that isn't working. i got out my meter to start checking the resistors to make sure they are good and the right ones. mind you i'm testing them in the circuit but, i have found that when i test 2 of them the screen on my meter fades out. it does seem to display the correct measurement though just as it fades out. on the rest it display acts as you would suspect. i get the same fading effect if i touch the 2 leads together. i'm guessing this means the resistors are bad but like i said my brain is gone. anybody notice this before?

Well, when you touch the 2 leads together, you get continuity.

If your DMM has continuity test, then try that on the resistors in question.

Check for solder bridges in that area, because if your MM is telling you continuity, and not just malfunctioning, then you need to find it, as it is most likely not a bad part (though it can happen)

How fresh are your batteries?

the 2 resistors in question are a 1k and a 1.8k so it tested a loose 1k and it did the same thing to my meter so i guess i'll look else where.
