I think in the Arion case, this IS a distinctive sounding pedal. You can hear this chorus from a mile away - it's so identifiable. It has that wobbly chorus and since Michael Landau is all over a ton of records, you hear that chorus all the time. I think that's why people might want it.

I think people will always gravitate to what their idols use - at least at first. The Arion used with a strat guitar with single coils has a unique sound for sure.

That being said, I have two Dano Choruses :-)

Well I've got one and I don't really agree, but whatever.

I see, I didn't realize this. To me it has a recognizable sound - maybe due to the brightness and the way it choruses.

My friend had one for years and every time I would hear him play, I would hear that bright chorus sound - I think you need to use this one with single coils to get that sound.

Later on, I heard the youtube and other demo clips of the chorus and then I recognized the sound of the pedal. Like I said, I can get that sound, but I don't like it on my guitar. The Dano chorus is much more simple sounding, but more natural to me.

Plus, $20 will get me another and the switch never broke on me yet.

Most people I know want the TC electronics chorus anyway.
