hi, I'm totaly new to this, so this might sound dull.

I wanted to make simple on\off footswitch that would allow me to unplug guitar on stage.

So i wired a DPDT footswitch like this:

In tip   -0 0- in sleeve
out tip -0 0- out sleeve
          -0 0-

it works, but bad, since some signal still gets through and it is audible when boosted by next pedal (od).
I went through forums but still couldn't figure out what to do.

thanks.
sorry if the question is in the wrong place, please instruct me where to post if that's the case.

Connect the bottom two "0"s on your schematic together.  This will short the output when the switch is in the OFF position to prevent any leakage and minimize noise.

  Ground wins.
If the signal and ground become common, signal becomes..ground, which is to say no signal at all.
Wiring the switch so it does that when you want has advantages.
Super simple switch: SPST can do it.
  Simple wiring.
  Signal path can remain hardwired.
Under some circumstances, click may occur.
