Why not use a wrong way transistor for signal reduction or some other wierdness

 You know how wierd miswired transistors sound, and how signal reduction and wierdness occurs under miswire conditions, perhaps there is no possible use for such nonsense...
  Perhaps a power mosfet would make some kind of wierd effect if used as a power attenuator.

Well, I'm all in favour of this kind of experimentation. Make sure you take plenty of notes, because it is impossible to work out "logically" what one has done..
