I recently gotten into running my tube amps through dummy loads and leaving the amplification to a solid state device.  I have been looking for solid state amp "Module", preferably Mosfet.  By module I mean not the standard 19" rack, not even in a chassis.  Mono is fine, THD> .1% is probably OK too.

The URL below has exactly what I am looking for but I need something in the US.  Anyone seen anything like it?

This looks like it might do the job:

They have some other modules as well. The prices seem okay and they're in NY.

My old band used some modules from ILP for our P.A. system when we built it. Pretty decent, easy to make, and inexpensive.  Of course that was before behringer and Chinese product became widely available.  http://www.ilpelectronics.com/

It's helpful to remember that the amplifier is the trivial part of the setup. What's HARD is the power supply and heat sinks. That's where you'll spend your money and time.

I would suggest buying the heatsinks FIRST, then the power transformer - and make it toroidal if you possibly can - then buy the amplifier module. If you do it in the reverse order, you're going to have an amplifier board without a nest to work in for a while.

The nice thing about those ILP modules is that they come with the heat sink attached as part of an epoxied module already.  Hard to make it any easier.

Yeah - that is a huge help. Most of the DIY modules I see have an L bracket or T bar.

I've used both the BK Electronics and ILP modules for about a decade.

2 x 100W BK modules for my main stereo guitar rig. These are awesomely good pieces of kit. Without any kind of colouration they just magnify what you put into them. Great build quality, big transformers and hum free power supplies at a very cheap price. I notice they're only £7 more expensive now then when I bought them 11 is years ago. You couldn't make them as good as cheap.

The ILP module was let down only by the power supply, which came as a separate rectifier board that sits between the toroidal transformer and the amp module. As I recall I had to buy the transformer separately from the module. I had to make a better board to eliminate background hum. And that was just beefier, over the top really, rectifier diodes along with bigger, better quality caps and a star earth point so everything came together on the one board. After that it's served as a powered monitor's power stage since '98. The module in that link looks to have the same size caps on that bit of PCB sticking out the back.
