Refined Wax Paper Etch Technique

I've had pretty good luck with the wax paper technique but 30-40% of the trace printouts either comes out smudged or the toner lifts off the paper before/after it goes thru the fuser.

I've found this technique that make printing on the waxy side of sticker paper more consistent and predictable.

-Take your wax paper backing and rub the waxy area with a paper towel removing the excess wax and debris, use a new section of towel or napkin after 3-4 wipes.
-Initially the napkin will have a little resistance and "grip" the paper.  When the rubbing becomes easy, then move the next section. (don't touch the cleaned area)
-Now print the trace on a plain peice of scrap paper and align and secure the wax sticker backing over the trace.  I use small .25" pieces of double stick scotch tape on the back of the wax sticker paper.
-Print the trace on the wax paper.

-After using your favorite toner transfer method to Cu board (Iron or hotplate) (I use hotplate and rub the trace with a wooden painters stir stick) let the board cool naturally or blow on it or use a hair drier w/out the heat.
-The trace should just peel off the waxy paper and adhere to the Cu Board.  (TIP: peel the paper off the board very slowly because if there are any traces that didn't stick to the Cu just throw the board back on the hotplate or iron the section that didn't adhere.  This is why I like this method a little better than the magazine paper because with magazine paper once I drop the Cu Board in the water, the paper is trashed and I don't know how the trace turned out until after the board is wet.
-Once the transfer is on the board, take a clean damp paper towel and rub the trace to remove excess wax that may be on the board and etch!

Just thought I'd share.
