I just built a BSIAB on my own perf layout and am loving the sound. BUT, even with the volume wide open, its still softer than my clean sound.

So i meausred the trannie voltages, and the only difference I can notice with the GGG voltages is the Gate of Q2 and Q4

Q2:
D-8
S-4.8
G-0 (should be 3.8 )

Q4:
D-8.2
S-4.2
G-0 (should be 3.8 )

Is this volume drop normal? Is there any way I can increase it?

can somebody tell me if the output is generally low, so i can choose whether to throw this out or not

Maybe your gate resistors are the wrong value. It should have plenty of output. I'm guessing you put in the wrong resistors there (probably like a 100k or 1k)
