so here is a boost i have made:

it sounds good (to me at least).  clear and neutral, it buffers between zero and 12 o clock with little or no volume added, boosts cleanly between 12 and 3 o clock, and starts getting loud, gritty and overdrive past 3 o clock.  i like it.

my only problem is, ive been having switch popping that im not used to.  maybe jsut louder than im used to.  i always use 1m pulldown resistor at front but that didnt take care of it so I have also added one to the end but there is still a switch pop when engaging the effect.  so im pretty sure its the LED.  im using the superbright 3mm variety from smallbear.  yellow color.  i normally use a 4.7k resistor to get it nice and bright.  more resistance on an LED reduces the switch popping correct?  i could probably use a 10k resistor and still get acceptable led brightness, if that is the case.  jsut thought i would check to see if there were other issues causing popping.
mainly, ive never built a circuit with no volume control on the end so i dont knwo how that affects things

i'd start by disconnecting the led to see if it is in fact the led causing the pop. if it is the led then try this, http://www.muzique.com/lab/led.htm.
