Well today in the mail I got an ancient Ibanez CS-9. The thing is so beat up, it looks awesome. Anyways it doesnt work (I knew that before) so I am using it just for it's enclosure. Anyways the unit has one input and two outputs. It has electronic bypass so it has a SPST switch. I am not sure if this will work but it incorporates the switch and all the jack..

Would that work?...To me it seems fine, who knows though.

Anyways if it did work the next thing would be how to add a LED..

Thanks

You're switching the input, but not the output. So, even when the effect is not getting input from the jack, the output is still going out. With a chorus, I'd expect some nice swishey sounds imposed on the 'bypassed' signal.

Hmm...I dont really understand. I thought that little SPST switch and tips connected solved my issues.

Ok, let's take a look at it. Following the red wires on your diagram, the signal comes in from the input jack. This signal goes to both output jacks and the switch. So, no matter what position the switch is in, the signal from the input jack always goes to the output jacks.
You're not switching the output signal.

Now look at the output from the effect board - it goes to both output jacks. So, no matter what position the switch is in, the signal from the effect output always goes the the output jacks.
You're not switching the output signal.

If the switch is open, the output jacks will see the raw signal from the input jack, _as well_ as the output from the effect.

If the switch is closed, the output jacks will see the raw signal from the input jack, _as well_ as the output from the effect.
