build suggestion

I am looking for a simple, but good sounding pedal for my nect build(what kind does not matter). so far, I have built a bazz fuzz, npn boost, and little gem amp, so i am looking for something about the same level as that. any suggestions would be great.

One way Tonepad is great site is that he lists all projects as "beginner, intermediate, and advanced".
Given the list of builds you've completed, I would scan the tonepad "intermediate" projects and read the build reports there.


If you still can not decide, build the toughest thing you can find, EH polyphase perhaps, debug it for weeks (unsuccessfully) and finally give up and rape it for parts.
Then you will find it easier to decide on a nice simple effect loop box.

If you want a distortion or overdrive pedal try an MXR Distortion +. It's almost the exact same circuit as the DOD OD250. It's very simple and easy to mod.

+1 on the Dist +, only replace the clipping diodes with red LEDs (not superbright ones). Ready opens up the mids and tames those ice pick highs.
