Soul preacher question/help markm's layout

This is quoting Aron from an old post which describes exactly how mine built from markm's layout sounds,

"I had an original Soul Preacher and it was the worst compressor I ever owned in my life. Sometimes it would amplify the noise to ridiculous extremes then if I played any note, it would clamp down and I wouldn't be able to play for about 5 seconds until it ramped back up.
One of the best compressors is the Orange Squeezer and the MXR Dyna Comp.
Probably easier to build too."

The layout I have in the gallery works real well and sounds Great!
With the assistance and advice of Mark Hammer, it's actually a pretty darn good comp but, it's a helluvalot more components than the O/S.

I've sent him a pm to see if he could help me with my build but no response yet so another topic about the soul preacher was created(sorry). Has anybody built this with different results than mine?? any advice as to what could be wrong?? I would really appreciate it. thanks in advance, peace.
