General Guitar Gadgets Fuzz Face What GE Transistors

I am building a General Guitar Gadgets Fuzz Face and I want to use some Germanium Transistors in it.
Can anyone recommend some that seemed to work the best in it?

  IOW ..
  A. Build the Hfe Gain / Leakage testing jig.
  and [or]
  B. Stick'um in and see what sounds best.
  C. Buy Small Bear matched set, Banzai also sells matched transistors for Germanium stompbox use.
  D. Source transistors and hope for the best.
  Notes:
  The best of the NOS these days tends more toward being seconds'.
  Consider Axis Face Si from Fuzzcentral.
  Search the whiles for old transistor radios or cassette players, *sometimes you hit a jackpot of 1/2 broken device with good germanium devices.
  Use sockets, consider how 'tweeky' you want your 1rst [or 2nd] Fuzz Face board to be.
