Hey all,
I recently got an EH small clone, and I decided to do a depth knob mod to it.  But the results were odd...When I have the pedal engaged, there is chorus coming through, but the depth knob doesn't really work.  The rate knob work fines, but for the depth knob it's either on or off...at a certain point of turning the pot the depth will kick in.  Also, at that same point, when the depth kicks in, the LED gets brighter too.  When the depth knob is rolled all the way off, I get distortion.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, maybe how I modded it was wrong.
Here's what I did:
10kB pot,
lug 1 to ground
lug 2 to positive of 10uF cap, lug 3 to negative of 2.2uF cap, 120k resistor, and pin 1 of LM358

Any help would be awesome.
Thanks!

Hello
I've followed the "instructions from tonepad and all works!!!
You have problem with oscillation....
check the pot and the wiring
and I have also connected a led and a resistor (I don't remember the value but I have made some tries) to pin 7 of lm358 to see the tempo!
good luck!!
post a photo of your work maybe It can help!

Here are some pics of the mod.  They're not the clearest pics, but I tried to highlight my mod and where the pot was soldered as best as I could. Maybe you can help me more then.

It looks like you need to move the wire from lug 3 to the other side of where the 4.7k resistor was and remove the jumper you put in place of the 4.7k.  I think that should fix your problem.

Good luck,
Adam

Ah, great, thanks. I'll give it a shot, and let you know how it turns out.
