Lots of talk about vibe pedals now, here's another thread :icon_lol:

I built myself a new circuit and made a soundclip http://download96.mediafire.com/mcy2bm5obpxg/dznmnsm0fmu/Vibe.mp3
It has three knobs, speed, depth and blend. I made the recordings with some different settings.
The plan is to fit it into a 1590b sized box.

So all of you who listened to the clips that John (thanks for the effort) to record, how's this one compared to other vibe pedals?

I'm still tweaking this one a bit but in time I will post schematics and layouts.

i like it. it has a bit of weirdness to it in a good way i mean. it doesn't quite sound like any other vibe i've at least. can't wait to see the schematic.

Thanks for the input.
I'm just gonna try some ideas before it's ready to go curcuit.

There are some kind of seasick qualities to this vibe sound. One of the settings in the clip does get close to the univibe sound.
Can you comment on the controls Krister? Depth, speed... It sounds like the VB-2 clips you posted a while back. It this a derivative that you have worked on some? A slower speed might be good in a clip if you have the time.

Hi John.
This circuit is in no way near the VB-2, not a single BBD chip in it. I'll see if I can find the time for a new soundclip, I'm pretty short of time right now.
The new layout should if it works give room for a battery also,
Here's a picture of it, think I posted one in the picture thread a while back, but who cares :icon_lol:

Looks nice!
Can you describe what the the Blend control does?
I didn't mean to say that it was a modded VB-2, just that it sounded similar in a way.

Blend, a wet/dry signal mix.

Not unlike a Magnatone amp vibrato, I like it.
Like JL said, some slower settings would be nice to hear.
How does it react to overdrive? A UniVibe is a completely different animal if you swap it before or after distortion. Putting it after almost kills the effect, distorting the vibe makes it come alive, IME.

I'd also like to hear more and see the circuit when you get around to it again.

Cheers
My Momma always said, "Stultus est sicut stultus facit".
She was funny like that.

It sounds like a phaser with the dry signal lifted. Maybe a Small Stone?

Has there been seen a schematic for this pedal?;)
