Hi
it could be a long debate about Jimi Hendrix's interest in tone.  But there is a fair bit of evidence that he prefered "punching" solos rather than "piercing" solos, and it is clear that coiled leads were a key part of his rig.  The inference that I draw from the evidence is that although and the lo-fi leads (and the fuzzface etc) cut some highs, he wasn't concerned about that.  Otherwise, RM or someone else would have built a buffer or on-board pre-amp for him.

In any case, it's easy enough to test these effects to see how they sound now - just compare (i) a long lead with a short one, or (ii) use a joiner to link two short ones together, or (iii) connect a 220 pF (or thereabouts) cap from the core to the shield of a cable.

Your concern for the feelings of people is, of course, very kind.  But I know that neither my Chinese friends, nor the vast majority of Chinese people, would not be offended by my signature.

To me, this is a very positive saying:

C'mon guys and girls.  Be fair....
When we don't understand stuff it is VERY easy to believe in all sorts of things.

You said it youself, so you understand it.
I don't want to have the last word.
Even in Chinese.
So put it right there.
After this last post.
I don't want to offend you.
;) :D
I just hope that that the flowers that will bloom will be for everybody.
Even for the family of the ones who died.
That is said, it's a wonderful phrase, I agree.
