Potentiometer Hook Ups

Hey guys,

I'm still working on my first pedal, and I'm not sure how to read the layout diagram for potentiometers!



For the potentiometer hookups, which one is "Lug 1"?

If the potentiometer were facing up (knob on top) which lug is 1, 2, and 3?

a =1, b =2, c =3

In most of the layouts you'll find in the gallery, the pot is facing down unless explicitly labeled; ie: 3 | 2 | 1
