Guys. Im Restoring one of those 30w Fender Champions and one of the jobs I have to do is to replace the pots.

When I opened I found the classics markings: A (log) B (linear)

But some of the pots have a C!!!

I did my research (http://sound.westhost.com/pots.htm) and found that C could be the old denomination of Log pots. But why if thats the old Denomination I have other Logs marked with an A?

Hope someone could help me. I searched the forum for the schematic but I didn't found anything.

Thanks guys!

Hi
I've heard (and it might be completely wrong) that C was for Geometric taper.  Which is similar to log.

Mmm

that would be what in http://sound.westhost.com/pots.htm call "commercial log"?

a pot that is linear basically but with 2 portions with different increments

Nowadays, "C" indicates a reverse log taper. You'll find that Fender specs its pots pretty thoroughly and they come in a wide variety of curves for different applications. They can do that, they're a pretty big company.  You can almost certainly order the parts from Fender.

Mmmm

I can't order parts from Fender, I'm in Argentina so I think I'll have to use Linear pots no?

I don't think there is a specific need to order from Fender. They use CTS pots, which are widely available. Get yourself a PDF of the CTS catalogue and work from there. You should be able to find a supplier for them. Some of the less common tapers and values can be harder to find/order in smaller quantities, but they can be found. The only tricky area is if Fender commissioned CTS to make a bespoke pot for them, in which case you are going to have to go to Fender for it, assuming it is still stocked/made.

EDIT: The 450 series is probably what you're looking for.

If the Fender order is out of the question, there are other suppliers. The C taper is less common, but not too hard to find, depending on the size and shape.  Just what amp is this? Fender used the Champ name on a lot of products.
