1n541 Ge diodes

Has anyone ever tried these diodes?  They're old germanium diodes that I got from a tube stereo.  Would they be useful for clipping diodes?


Any ideas? Did a search in the forum, couldn't find any info on them. ]

As I understaind it genamnium diodes clipping sound don't differ very much between types.
I guess they'll work just fine.

They look cool and different, I like that!

I'm going to breadboard them into a overdrive 250 or distortion+ and see.

you could test their forward voltages with your DMM and compare them to the more common 1N34. rylan
