Just finished the Repeat percussion from the analog guru site.

This is a really cool effect, maybe not nearly as useful as a tremolo, but after building it in many ways I couldn't even consider it a trem.

The speed control is awesome.  And the overall effect is killer.

I have two gripes however, and fortunately I think they should both have solutions.

1. this unit is a true gain eater.  I've got no problem pairing it with a boost but can I swap out the bc109c's for something even higher gain?

2. The square wave is awesome but I wish the squarewave was wider.  How can I go about adjusting the width of the wave?

Is it the 100 UF capacitor?

Thanks for the help.

here is a link to the schematic.  the image is not properly formated in a way that it can just be posted.

thanks,

Ah yes, I've worked through some of these questions with the search function.

Is the shem over at analog guru the same as the corrected one that was passed around by ronsound etc?

I believe theyre the same...not sure though.

I have been meaning to build this, as I have a bunch of 2N2646 ...I know that this circuit "lives and dies" depending on the particular 2646 you use.

I'm just going by memory here...and it's probably flawed :) ..but I THINK C5, C4, and R9 are integral to setting the speed and depth. I guess I should do a search or look at my old notes before answering for sure though....
