Which Fuzz Face cap is best to switch?

I'm full of questions today.

Which fuzz face cap would be best to put on a rotary switch. To get from thin to fat. The input or the output?
I have a breadboard but like to hear opinions.

I recently vero'd one up, and I've got a 'Blend' (from the EZ Face) knob for the input cap. Depending on your choice of capacitor, mine acted to reduce fartiness in the bass, tightening it up overall. It's quite nice, since the volume pot actually acts as a tone knob as well. I haven't tried the output cap yet.

If you think about it, adjusting pre fuzz is essentially changing the 'character' is you like - which is why a pre blend knob reduces fartiness, whereas an apres cap is more of an eq control in terms of relative loudness. I've got an EQ pedal (Behringer) after my fuzz, so I can play around at both ends. Having an EQ pedal is actually really nice to test the effect of pre/post tone changes and how they affect the distortion.

You might also want to try caps across the 2 transistor Collector - base (100pF) and there are some other places as well - look up Axis Face/Fuzz on Fuzz Central, the FF article on Muzique.com, runoffgroove has some good ones as well.

(Please note that I'm not using the standard FF transistors -so mine might sound/react completely differently to yours).

Hi
the search function is your friend.

caps from 0.022 to 0.22uF are good.  The standard 2.2uF is WAY too big.
