but i cant find any 2m pots, will 1m work just as well?

If it's the high gain end of the scale that you're after, you could put a 1M resistor in series with a 1M pot and not bother with the low gain sounds.

Actually, I think it works the other way, in that a larger series resistance attenuates the signal going to the next invertor stage.  So, a 1M pot will mean that you will be able to achieve all the higher gain sounds but will not be able to achieve the cleanest possible tones that the design is capable of.  All in all, not a particularly bad loss.

Depends how desperate you are for the low-gain sounds.

As well, note that the less terrain you attempt to cover with any single pot, the less picky you need to be about its taper.  So, you may well find the pedal more satisfying with a 1M pot.

and im building it for the high gain sounds, so i guess a 1m would have to do
btw, what are the benefits of the bypass tone switch? is bypassing the tone section different from puting the knobs at 12oclock?

ok so ive built the hot tubes, nice sound although it doesnt react well to my neck hum, sounds a bit too fuzzy/bassy/farty
wat mods do you guys suggest? i assume the input and output cap reduction? so its c1 and c15/16 ryt? wat other mods can i do to it? do i also need to reduce cap values in the feedback or overdrive stages?
