I built a germ fuzz face as per R.G.'s tech of the fuzz face. i want to build one for my bro in law. he was playing mine and in the middle of a screaming solo (hes a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better guitar player than me) the pedal cut out for a second. i dont know if the ac 128's got saturated and stopped or he missed a string.

do i need to go up or down with my input and output caps or something else.

the pedal cut out for a second. i dont know if the ac 128's got saturated and stopped or he missed a string.
"Cut out' makes the description vaguely infer something like a grounded signal or battery dropped off.
Missing a string, makes the description sound like 'ducking' of saturated transistor, generally this happens when set to higher gain and low notes or low chords are whamped, smashed or pounded.
do i need to go up or down with my input and output caps or something else.
I wouldn't infer that before deciding where to guess the bias was at the time, assuming it was a 'signal duck' initiated by hard playing not a connection or other failure.
Cold pedal [choose low temperature usage and cool pedal to that temp], read the circuit bias at Q2 collector, then add warmth and continue taking bias readings as it rises to warm pedal temperature [choose warm temp usage].
Adjusting the bias for cold is likely different than hot.
Ge Tonebenders also sometimes require certain moon phases..lol..for consistant operating conditions.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
