Boss DS-1 sort of works

I modded my new DS-1 with the spider mods. The one with the switch that allows SEM and Ultra.
Bypass and LED fine, but doesnt work... UNLESS I place a finger on the back of a certain area on the pcb, near the 47pf mod cap. Then it does work.
I reflowed my joints, everything looks fine.
Any ideas?

So, you touching that area is completing the circuit, right?

You've got a break or short somewhere there, then.

Look hardcore (I use a magnifying glass sometimes to check for solder bridges, etc.). Sometimes stuff "looks" ok, and there are still breaks or bridges.
