Oh..i didnt know there was a blues master amp already..well the name isn´t that original anyway.. :icon_mrgreen:

and no, the amp was designed as the customer (the guy playing the guitar on the videos..he can REALLY play) wanted it, he play in a blues band so he wanted the amp to be blues oriented, hence the name, and the sag resistor, the blues channel, and the absence of NFB.

but since one of my goals on every project is versatility, and since the customer can shred his a## off, i added the modern channel, wich is boogie-like, but not quite..

the blues channel sounds a lot like eric johnson, really vintagey smooth distortion..but with humbuckers gets muddy, so i added a switch at the input with a high pass filter..this made a huge difference all over the amp, like two dimensions, you can go very fuzzy, or a la van halen distortion..

Congratulations for the Blues Master, Daniel.  The sound samples are very good.

thanks everybody!!!!

i´m truly proud of this amp. the owner was really thrilled with it..more than 4 months of work, designing, getting shocked, rewiring everything, i even spent a full roll of solder on this!

in this Thread you can see it from the inside:
http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=69195.0

as you see, it used to be a PA100..as RG said, they can be converted to very good amps. well they sure do!!!!

the downside for me is that replicating the result may be hard, since getting parts like the pa100 is difficult.
The thing that made me decide to go on this project was the fact that i didn´t had to make the chassis from scratch..

Congratulations D.!
I agree with all the other posts... you should be proud, what a pitty that I didn't get the chance of checking it out in person... next time maybe ;).
The look and the sound were awesome (as always).
Whose cabinet was that (Panussis!!!!?)

Saludos.

hahaha
yeah, it´s a pannusis (an infamous chilean amp builder, i have nothing against him). it has 2 12 inch eminence speakers..and sounds really well!
