Hey all,
I want to drive a talkbox with a practice amp, and use an A/B/Y box to switch between my regular rig and the little amp.   Doing this passively doesn't seem to be any problem, but I've heard the 'other unused amp' can give a lot of noise if you do that.
So, would adding an input buffer to a passive A/B/Y solve that, or is there a way to ground the input of the unused amp (safely) to kill noise?
I know some of you guys are talkbox guru's, how do you do it??  Any schemos?
Thanks!   :)

AMZ has multiple buffered outputs via Jfets.
That's what I built [a 3 output version] and it works great.
Ground loop noise [amps have a way of wanting their ground 'here', running two amps with 'common' Gnd. can make a ground voltage difference] can be eliminated by lifting the grounded outputs but requires expensive transformers to do it well.
I have a Gnd. switch on one of the signal outputs w/LED, so I can kill that one via stompswitch.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks Pete, I'll check at AMZ...

** ok, I see the Jfet Splitter, looks pretty neat and quick to build.  So I'd just be shorting the pulldown resistors to select which output I want?
