I found that my commercial pedals that are coated with Epoxy Enamel finish seem to be the most durable to scratches ect.. Anyone  have any experience with this type paint? Or know where to buy some of different colors? It seems that when I google it I get mostly flooring and floor restoration products.

Google "Powder Coat" for more info, it requires lots of start up equipment...IIRC.

I've been experimenting with spray paint that's sold as Epoxy Appliance paint as my primer coat as it seems to stick pretty well. Comes in limited colours so i just use white and then work on top with AutoAir Colors acrylic paint (airbrush).
There's this 2 part epoxy paint marketed to the radio control crowd, someday will have to give it a try. They offer primers as well as a selection of colours and clearcoats.  http://klasskote.com/index.html

I actually used Eastwoods black self etching primer/ sanded a little / and recoated/ lightly sanded and sprayed clear gloss enamel. Looks good and strong. I used it for a RAT. Its too bad it only comes in black and white.
