A fet preamp into marshall mg10 box

Hi,

I'm thinking about a new project, I've a marshall MG10, everybody knows this amp is the greatest bullsh*t of the amplifier's world ! I would remove all circuit and put a Fet preamp! It can be a cool project no ?

I'll use the marshall's power  ( 12.6V/0/-12.6V)

But  I don't know what preamp do.

Of course I saw all project on ROG, but I found nothing for me.

I like the sound of stoner/doom and some stuff frome ZZ top, something "fat" and a little "muddy".  The sound of band like : High on fire, sleep, Melvins , Kyuss, fu manchu , zz top , queens of the stone age, nebula.

I redrawn the schématic of the JCM800 (with a switch boost), it's the only one which can be in the same spirit (A lot of musicians use it) but maybe you knows another great preamp for this kind of sound. I didn't find the schématic of the matamp GTL (I love the sample I heard).

It's a simulation of mesa bougie amp, no ?

I though about something today, The sound is good if I use 12AX7 instead of jfet  with the same Power 12 or 18V. I saw we can use valve with low voltage, but the sound is good or not ? (Normally valves work with something like 200/350V, so 12v seems to be very low)

it won't sound the same, that's for sure. Boogey dual rect runs preamp at ~400V

yes I know but the sound can be cool.

Ii read some stuffs, and the 12Ax7 works bad with a voltage so low. So it exists valve which works with 12V (valve for car's radio), 12U7, ECC86, 12K5, 12cx6.

It seems to be hard to find thoses tubes.

Low voltage tubes sound great IMHO. Ebay is the place to find them.
