Boss GE－7 noise issues

I'm working on the noise issue in a GE-7 EQ and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good alternative to the original 022D ic's ? I was thinking about exchanging them with TL072's, but I'm affraid these won't be such a great improvement...

Have a search around here - there was a thread done by I think MartyMart on modding the GE7 for lower noise. Also look for 'Sniper Mods'.

Never bothered to do it myself, though. I guess people have different tolerances for noise  .

That's the one! I thought of doing something similar to my EQ700, since it has TL064s, but it doesn't suffer the same 'lower levels, higher noise' problems. It's just a tad noisy.

Thanks guys. That's just what I was looking for. 
I find the GE-7 way too noisy, but I like the boss design so I guess it's worth investing some time on this thing.
