Thanks! First Real Success

Just wanted to throw out a big thanks to all the contributers here.
After multiple breadboards of different schematics, messed up soldering jobs, messed up schematic reading, $300 and a burned thumb, I *finally*finished my first box.
It's an Electra distortion with a few mod tips I picked up from a few people.  Added a second control for gain and such.  Brought it with me to teach (private lessons)
and a teacher and student asked me to make them one ^_^ so yeah it sounds pretty solid!
Here's the hideous pic (but you have to dig the unicorn!)



My wife did the unicorn design, I did the hideous paintjob...  So now you know who has the talent in the family.
(you can also see that I couldnt even put the damn unicorn on right..)

Anyway, I'm psyched.  Thanks to everyone for all their input... I'll be around for a while!

Maybe you didn't let the paint to settle for a couple of days, it seems a little ruined...Good anyway!!!

The paint said "dry to handle in 8 hours"
I let it go 10 and figured it would be o.k.
I was wrong.  My hands did a number on it.
It's a hack job, but I'm just glad it works ^_^
