Preferred Mouser parts?

Hello, I'm going to build my first effect, a BYOC Mouse (Pro Co Rat clone with a rotary clipping switch), and I've ordered all of the parts except for the electronics and an enclosure, pretty much (call me cheap, but I could just save about $40 by not buying the BYOC kit)! So for this build, and for future reference, what is the part number of each of the following parts that you guys prefer?

-Carbon and metal film resistors
-"Regular" caps (general-purpose stuff, not electrolytics or ceramics)
-Ceramic caps (if Mouser sells them)
-Electrolytic caps, radial and axial
-Various types of toggle and stomp switches
-Enclosures, preferably an aluminum one or some other material that is easily drilled but still shields
-Trimpots
-Pots, both panel-mount and regular pots with solder lugs
-BJTs, FETs, MOSFETs, other transistors possibly
-Enclosures?
-Other stuff?

There's just such a huge variety in different manufacturers, shapes, and other stuff that I don't know what to buy...

Here's some of the parts I usually order (... is the part value):

metal film resistors: 660-MF1/4DCT52R....F (KOA Speer)   OR    271-...-RC (Xicon)

box caps: 581-BQ014D0...J (AVX)

electrolytic caps: 140-XRL50V...-RC (Xicon)

pots : alpha 16mm (see page 666 of the mouser catalog)

You can check the datasheets to find variations (in case they don't carry a specific part number), or to find out what the part numbers mean.

Switches, enclosures, and trimpots are usually best bought either in person, or from smallbear. It is usually difficult to judge if they are appropriate based only on their datasheet. With trimpots, make sure to pay attention to the pin spacing. I've had to reorder many trimpots because they wouldn't fit in my pcb.

If you know what kind of transistors you want, just search mouser for the part number, and choose the cheapest that is in a standard TO-92 package (NOT surface mount).

If you don't know what kind of transistors to get, start with these:

BJT (NPN): 2N5089, 2N3904
BJT (PNP): 2N5087, 2N3906
JFET: J201, MPF102
MOSFET: BS170, 2N7000

Thanks, I'll check those out! I tried ordering from Smallbearelec but everytime I tried I got an error, I'm suspecting it has something to do with their moving. Thanks!  ;)
