BSIAB Sound Sculpting

I have a bsiab kit waiting to be built but I am hedging. I would like it to do the following..

1 sound more like Gary Moore - Ed G responded and said bypass the output caps which makes sense from what I have read
2 be even more open like the thor pedal from runoffgrove by passing a gain stage (my idea and maybe not practical)

In regards to goal #2, has anyone tried jumping a gain stage in the BSIAB (from where to where?) and does this make it a good open/low gainer pedal?

ive done that, i think i jumped the 2nd mini booster stage from after c4 to after c12 on the ggg schem, i didnt leave in the 470k/470p combo as i felt a low gain sound should be more full. but you could try jumpering after that and see. its a nice low gain sound.
also making r 14 lower to say @ 50k for less high end ,  and lower gain .
