Peavy DDL-3 Power Adapter Polarity?

Hi...

Does anyone have any specs for the power adapter used with Peavey DDL-3 Digital Delays? It has a 1/8" plug/jack, and I'm guessing it's 9v DC, but I'm unsure of the polarity.

1/8" jacks are typically tip positive.  Don't know what it needs for voltage, though.

.....I'm not sure,but I heard a friend say to put a battery into the pedal first;then insert a 1/8' plug without the cover;then take a voltage reading to get the polarity thing figured out.....don't know if that's true with all pedals,though.....
