If there's a resistor on a schem that says "220E,"  is that simply 220 ohms? 
The people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Apparently E is a european, specifically german, designation for ohms. Supposedly the E is more legible after successive copies have been made of a schematic.
