Simple question about wiring

On this circuit, do I need to connect lugs 1&2, 3&2, or neither of the volume pot before going to the out jack? Thanks

Neither.

Edit: However, it would be easier to answer if you included a link to the schematic. The layout is definitely wrong. Lug 1 and 3 are connected to each other and to ground.

here is the schematic. I think lug 3 of the pot is in the wrong place on the above layout. I think it should be connected to row E with r7 and r8? Is this right?
