First post here... :D

I want to build a single loop switch with tuner out... But I can't find a schematic or layout or something else... Who can help me?

Thanks in advance!

I guess you pretty much just want an A/B box?
1 side that you would send out to your tuner and the other to your effects and amp?

Not really, I want a Single loop w/ tuner out... so I can have my effects in the loop (no tapdancing and no tone suck when off) and a tuner out... http://www.loop-master.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=37 Like this one...

I think I've found something: http://www.singlecoil.com/tb-strip/dia10.html

From Fulltone:
"There is an inherent problem with most A/B Boxes when running seperate effects for each channel.
Most A/B Boxes do not ground out the channel not being used, resulting in massive hum + hiss
when distortion or fuzz pedals are left on. This design eliminates that problem, and has the purest,
non buffered, most transparent tone available."

Could this be a problem here?

EDIT: to prevent 'plopping'/tocking (or so... :D) I can just solder 1M resistors over the poles of the jacks (all jacks?)?

I can draw something up for you tonight, if no one else has answered.

NoGlory

Tnx, but can you have a look at the scheme I posted? Is it wrong/right? Any disadvantages or so?

mth5044

Yep, that looks good. Singlecoil is where I started when making true bypass stuff.

Indeed, looks ok.
The "tuner switch" is an "A/B". 'A' goes to tuner, 'B' goes to the next switch.
Second switch is a "TrueBypass FX looper". There are several variants and this one looks ok.

NoGlory

Okey, thank you very much :d

About the resistors over the jacks for preventing tocking/plopping, just solder 1M resistors over the output and the loop jacks?

I drew something else, is it right?

What are you trying to do there? If you are trying to redraw the original schematic, then you are a bit off.

NoGlory

I am not trying to redraw the original scheme... It is just another thing I drew where the inactive channel is grounded out (like on the Fulltone website)

It's based on:

and the original scheme...

That looks fine. There's no need to take the sleeve connections back to the switch though, I'd just connect them straight the DC ground (- on your drawing).

flo

There is no need for 1M resistors over the jacks. To prevent popping, 1M resistors need to be placed on the input/output caps to ground, not after the switch.

Like this? Or ...? Don't get it anyway...  ::)

If you can find a layout for a dual loop (or just take a single loop design and connect 2 together) just omit the return jack and it's connection to the switch and there's your tuner out.

The French connection

Hi! There's this:

just removed one of the loop and you're there i think...put your tuner in A or B...

Dan
I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!
