EA Tremelo blinking LED produces ticking???

Could this be the source of my low level thumping/ticking??  The last EA Trem I built had no blinking LED and I don't recall it having this issue.  Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

I built the GGG layout.

  The blinking LED's I have tried have also had ticking problems. Just replace with a non blinking.
