  All you need for a center punch is a small, sharp, finish nail. Tap lightly.

get the drill press stand for it and if you haven't already the three jaw chuck as well.

A big "hell yes!" to this advice. I have the Dremel press and the adjustable chuck. It's truly magic. 

But I cut my boards with a big ole pair of tin snips. Faster than a Dremel with a cutoff wheel, very neat, and no dust.
