I'm modding my homebuild Tubescreamer..... modding a lot

but know comes to last mods :

can i change the 10uf electrolitic (after the las buffer)  to  4.7uf Tantalum and notice a good improvement?  is WORTH the change in sound????

besides:  would changing the 1uF NP caps to Tantalum (same value) improve the sound of the TS?

Put in a switch with both caps in tact, that way you can never go wrong.

I stuck 1uf poly caps on the output of my TS clones, try that too. I have no idea if it sounds different though

I would replace the 1uf caps with 1uf film caps. The "sound spectrum"/"mojo" of capacitors from worst to best is supposedly: electro, ceramic, tant, film. So changing to a film would be better (I think, however they all sound fine to me).

You can get 10uf tant caps easily aswell, so you could keep the same value if you wanted for the input and output cap. Or, you could go 1uf film on the output.
