Is it as as straight forward as swapping the wires on the outside lugs of the pot? I'd like toe down to be low pass, toe up to be high pass so when I step to turn it on it's in the low range.

Swap redblack/black with blue?

the one side goes up / the other side goes down of resistance would reverse of course.
These pots have some kind of taper to them, so the ratios of course would be different.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

If you could add another mounting point on the treadle (is that the right word?) for the uhm...the part that turns the gear, and then mount that rod (?) backwards, that would probably work.
But it would not be an easy task, unless you have access to a welder.
Then you have to figure out how to mount the tension clutch.
All in all, this way is probably not the greatest way to do it.

As far as tapers go, if by some miracle, its a standard audio taper pot, then you could get a reverse tape pot and swap your wires.

I dunno.

I need to shut the hell up, go cut some wood and then pack, then spend the next 8 hours driving down to Southern California.

The taper hadn't even crossed my mind. Nothing like actually doing it to see how it goes...

It works out ok, you may have to adjust the pot itself, tilt it forward or back a bit, I done it to mine but after I done it I decided it was too weird so I swapped it back.

Yep, it is that simple. As noted, it would mess with the taper some, but more than that it makes everything backwards as far as sweep goes. I don't think I could ever get used to that...  :icon_confused:
