Tim E's Simple Square wave Shaper made Simpler : Layout + pot query

Hi all,

Have knocked up a quick vero layout for Tim E's SSWSMS:



Note I've placed the 25k trimpot offboard as having the wrong shaped trims for the layout I'm following has annoyed me in the past.

My question is, can I use any pair of balanced pots for P1 and P2, eg a pair of 100k/10k/5k instead of 500k? Is the value important, or just the fact that they're the same?

As I have a LOT of 10k pots around and less 500k

Well, it works with 10K pots - although I wonder if I'm only getting the squarer end of the sound range??

That being said, layout verified + I love the pedal
