Need 25K pot?

Howdy folks!

    I have a small practice amp,  the treble pot goes all the way around,  (it is broken).  The broken pot is 25KA,  I only have 50KL,   could I sub this in without too much problems as is???   I need to fix  this today, as my relatives are passing through this afternoon and I want them to deliver this amp to an uncle who could use this right now.

You can lower the value of the pot with some added resistors.  Check this:

Pick either tapered or Linear pot, whichever you need.

Thanks!  I ended up putting a 56K across the outside lugs, seems ok!
