Ok so i've got a Voodoolabs Superfuzz that i really like. its a jordan bosstone with a tone control and a "resonance" control. from what i've read, the resonance control is just a sub-guitar frequency booster...so two things:

1) what would this freq range be...do you think

2) would the circuit just be an active low pass filter set to said freq range, split off from the normal circuit and then knob just mixes the other signal back in?

I'm considering throwing this onto a Bazz fuss or just as a general tool.

It could be this. GEO has active filters, but it could just be a signal split, boosted and then mixed back in.

I thought it was similar to a presence control, which functions by regulating the amount of negative feedback.  I'll see if i can find a schematic.

a while ago, when toying with this one (i soo say this everytime, which tells me i experiment more than i build  :'()

i found the cap between the two 560k resistors was the responsible of the Bosstone's honky tone, then i proceeded to swap it around an found it cool on .1uf, very bassy and resonant.

i believe they stayed simple, i mean parallel cap+pot combo with the original 'reso' cap... no active opamp or whatever filter

Yes, I wanted to know why there's this cap here. And  I thought about the same control ! :icon_biggrin:

edit : what do you think about that ?

Maybe some values must be changed ?

Maybe I'll try tomorrow .
