Ge overdrive that doesn't boost treble?

Is there such a thing? I know of the Telenordia overdrive but it has yet to be cloned and from what I've heard it's an excellent sounding pedal. Just simple overdrive, but not so much a Rangemaster type effect.

I bet there are lots of simple overdrives out there, bright or dark. You can change things to make them boost the whole spectrum or tame the highs.

It also depends on the freq response of the Ge. For example, I have some 2sd352 and 2sd72k having very low transition freq, 10khz or so. Nice for making dark fuzzes, bad for a rangemaster. A tonebender mk2 using this Ge does not need the 10nf at the input.

Feel free to tweak the things to suit yourself and your gear. Most boosters have a treble tilt to try to keep clarity, but if your amp is plenty bright when driven hard you won't need it. Usually, just changing the input cap to something larger is enough.
