Sorry if this comes up often, its last minute for a christmas present I'm putting together and a search wasn't helping.

So, I bread borded tim escobedo's jinx, and it sounds great.  Liked it with a mosfet boost into it, but I can't fit both into the box I'm using.

I have a layout for a LPB and a jinx on perfboard, but don't want it to go any lower than unity gain.  I'm not sure exactly what the best way to get a unity gain and higher LPB style circuit would be.

Any help would be appreciated so I can put this together soon.

Thanks!

Also, with the jinx, the 50K pot seems to only work in a very small amount of the range, has anyone else run into this problem?  Should I use a log pot or smaller value?  Any thoughts?

Well,  gave up on the LPB... tried a few more J201's and got one that was better without the boost first.  It still sounds great with a boost pushingit, but the box is made and sounds pretty cool on its own.  So now, here's a quick build report since there wasn't many on here.

I added a switchable input bass cut, and output treblerolloff.  Makes it a little more versitile, but probably wasnt really necessary.  just fits different guitars and basses a little easier.  I'm loving the circuit though.  A little tricky to dial in exactlywhat you want, but lots of sounds in those two controls.  I think the best (and unexpected) part is the mode where it fades into the note when you play harder.  Almost sounds like a reverse delay, but I find it easier to use.    Some mild octave up in there, and a few almost normal fuzztones.  I think it'd definately be good with a unity gain to boost circuit in front, but I needed to get it done in a hurry.

Also, the small range on the 50K pot seemed to fix itself.  I don't think I dug in enough, and has some weird "envelope" controled volume style effects.  If you dig in fades in to REALLY loud, but if you don't dig in enough, you get nothing.
