static noise, not from supply i think

hi, i tried looking for a post that discussed this issue but i couldnt find one, so here is my question:

i build my distortion pedal, using a 386 and 4558 chip, and no transistors...
i get this hum like sound (i know its not from the supply, cuz im using a battery) and it kinda goes lower when i touch the metal part of my breadboard, and the metal jacks (output)
do you think this will go away when i put it in a box, or is it my circuit thats not properly designed?
