Hello,

Does someone know where I could fine a µPA68H component (or any equivalent ?). It seems to besome kind of FET op amp used in vintage audio amps.

Thanks !

R.G.

Nope, sorry.

But it's likely that it can be replaced with a modern one if you can dope out the pinout.

Thanks guys ! Now it remains to find a suitable equivalent. Any suggestion ?

Dual JFETs are a beast of a different color. There are - or were - a few Japanese part numbers. Most have been discontinued.

Best chance is to either do a google search for "dual JFET" or to try matching some non-duals. Matching for Vgs and Idss, then checking transconductance for similar should produce OK results, especially if you superglue them together face to face for thermal linking.

You are almost certainly going to have to substitute two discrete and matched JFETs. I'd go with the 2SK170GR series to split the middle between exact performace and real-life availability.

Good luck!

Thanks !!! It helps a lot !  :)

The 2SK170GR seems quiet easily to find. Also when looking for information on the  2SK170GR I found references to LSK170A and its dual version LSK389. Maybe some good candidates from Linear Systems... I don't know if these ones are easily available
