I saw this pic:

And had to ask...

If the above works for an amp chassis would a DOD FX100/105 powered pedal board work as a multiple effect enclosure?

It has the same basic C-channel shape but with 5 individual 5"W mounting plates (or covers) to cover the channel.

Over all length is 28" with the last 3" being the power supply so effectively 5 x 5" wide spaces... the channel is 1.5" deep and 6.5" wide...

There are no partitions separating anything because if it were used as intended the pedals mounted on top...

Each of the cover plates is nearly the exact size as the footprint of an EH/Sovtek Big Muff Pi..

Sounds like it would work. Can you post a pic?

I seem to recall that someone did something similar, but from scratch - modular "pedals" that were built on to faceplates and mounted in a big c-channel.

I will in a bit...

Modular. Now why didn't I think of that... thanks!

Here are some pics:

A few of my effects... the top row is the working fx100/105... the grey plate is flipped to show contrast. The Boss BF-2 is in the channel. The Big Muff footprint is a near perfect match (the plate is just a bit wider...)

The working fx100/105 power supply. The other one is the same but is fried...

The fried power supply. Liquid got spilled onto it... you can see top left where it shorted...
