So I see now where pads 1-6 and 18 go, but I'm still super new to stompbox building and repairing, so I'm not quite clear on how to actually wire the whole package. I'm not including the battery snap here. My momentary switch has two lugs and I believe one connects to pad 18 and the other to ground, but which lug?

Do all stompboxes use stereo jacks for input and mono for out?

Can someone draw something up for me in MSpaint or something?

Sorry to be such a pain in the ass, I wanna get this thing done soon!

Did you build this pedal or are you just trying to fix the wiring on an original pedal?

I don't think it really matters which lug you solder the ground or pad 18 to. The switch just makes a momentary connection between the two lugs and the current can flow either way.

Using a stereo jack for the input disconnects the battery from the circuit therefore turning the pedal off when you take the guitar cable out of the input jack. That's all the stereo jack is for.
That's why pedals don't work unless you put a cable into the input jack.

I have a HM-2 if you need any pictures of any of it's wiring. I just don't know if you are repairing an original or building your own.

I'm repairing an old one I found in the trash. So I guess I'll just use two mono jacks then? I'm not re-including the battery snap for this re-housing so...

Yeah, I'm just a little unsure how to go about the wiring process.

I believe a mono jack will work for you then.
What don't you know how to wire? It's all in the schematic you posted.
There should be 2 boards. A main board and a board with all the pots on it. Are they not numbered? Pad 9 on the main board gets wired to pad 9 on the "pot" board and so on.
If the solder pads aren't numbered, let me know and I will crack mine open and draw up a little wiring diagram.

obblitt,

I have a Boss HM-2 and I took some pics for you.

The pics are located here.

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you need some more pics.
