Im building a fuzzface but im a little stumped

Should i use a trimpot if so what value would be best and what resistor would i replace with the trim pot

Re resistors what are the best type to use .

Same with Caps what are the best to use and should i use say a green cap for input and output .

Heres the layout im useing

Thanx in advance all input is welcome and a big help

Typically when a trimpot is used, it replaces the 8.2k resistor in that layout. A 10k linear part would be fine.

Better yet, don't use a trimmer: use a B10K linear pot and mount it on the enclosure. You can do a lot of fun things changing the bias voltage.

Resistors: any 1/4 watt 5% metal film parts will be fine. You can use carbon composition if you want a "vintage" circuit.

Caps: for the input and output (C1 and C3), use polarized electrolytics. C2 can be any poly film part.

IS it ok for the 2.2 cap to be  a 50 volt RBLL low leakage Electrolyic or does it have to be 16 volt . I can t seem to find 16 volt caps in 2.2 .

As long as the voltage is above 16V, it's okay to use it.

You can put a little water in a big glass, a lot of water in a small glass is a mess.
Same thing is true with caps, exceed the voltage rating of the capacitor at risk of your own mess.
 Otherwise use what ya got.
The disadvantage of bigger caps is their physical size.
Because it's possible to get lucky the first time, and it's also possible to make a Fuzzface act in so many different ways +1 on having a FF for at least a while which has a bias knob on the top. Go one farther and put a piece of masking tape on there indicating the gating points nearer V+ and V-, also mark where 1/2v is, then when you do all your trying out with that, the vol knob on the guitar, and everything else that influences a FF works, you'll have an idea what type of bias setup you like for that circuit. Check it again if you decide to use that pot position for something else by replacing the resistance bias pot at 'x' setting with a fixed resistor.
FF is a circuit which you can diddle with all year for five, or [see *Axis Face] build 'n play. Either way it's a load of fun and a Fuzz circuit which has seen many many hours of usage around here.
Axis Face is recommendable if you want a straightforeward assemblage, minimal tweeking, stable, reliable, clean-up-able at the guitar volume, great sounding Fuzzbox. There are a million variants.
