I can't write code worth a damn, even after the 8 or so programming classes I've had throughout high school and college. But one of my good friends is an expert in "analog-inspired" programming (as we like to call it). I'll see if he'll write up a Matlab function that will emulate a guitars spectral content and envelope. I almost guarantee that he will because he's taken a big interest in Matlab based simulations lately.
